Queen Charlotte Islands Adventure
Page Eight

After walking miles and miles of beaches, you come to the end of where the trees border the beach, and are presented with a beautiful meadows area.  I camped just at the edge of the trees on this meadow area.  It sounds like this may be near the end of the spit, but in fact it's still about and hour or two walk to the end of the spit.

The trees are now
hidden by fog

It takes quite a while to reach the meadow, and even then, the end of the spit is a long way off.  I made the whole hike in one sitting, with a brief rest when i stopped at the edge of the trees to setup camp.  Out in the middle of the grassy are, there is what appeared to me to be a weather station, and therefore explaining the vehicle trail out there.  More Pics of the very tip of the spit to come...
