Queen Charlotte Islands Adventure

    Continue the Hike...
Once you finish walking along the river section of "Hike to the Shipwreck", things open up a bit more, and you walk north along the coast for a few miles until you actually get to the shipwreck.
There are rock beaches, sand beaches, and plenty of ocean and landscape to see.  Along the beach, I came along an unfortunate sea lion who didn't make it.  Unfortunate for him, but an exciting opportunity for me to get an up close look.

Near the mouth of the river

Some funky trees

Ah...  beaches

Back where I came from

Poor little guy

Once again,
Ah... beaches

Coming up to the wreck

Another view of the wreck

And another...

ok, last one of the wreck.

Well, what can I say, it's a great days fun hiking to the wreck, but a little bit of a let down when you finally get there and there is only part of a wreck left.  The ocean has eaten the rest of it over the years it has been there.  None the less, this is an exciting, and fun hike that you can do easily in one day.
