Late July, early August 1998 was the date that my brother Kevin, his wife Cheryl, and myself made our hike up the backside of Mt.Kidd in Kananskis Country in Alberta. We camped in Peter Lougheed Provincial park and spent the day hiking the mountain. The following are some pictures of our trip.
We
arrived on the friday night of a long weekend, and camped in Peter Lougheed
Provincial Park just a few miles south of Kanaskis Village. We had
planned to do the hike on the Saturday, but due to rainy, cloudy weather,
and altitude of the hike we had planned, We decided to put it off for the
better weather Sunday promised for us. Check out a few of the pictures
I got on my drive down, and our campsite.

The campsite was one of the
only ones left in the whole Kanaskis valley... believe me, I was
very lucky to find it. It was located in Peter Lougheed Provincial
Park, and was called Lower Lake campground, and is very near to the Boulton
Creek Trading Post. Check out our hike on the next few pages.
